Prenatal Deep Tone + Stretch

Prenatal Deep Tone + Stretch

Happy #wellnesswednesday, loves 💗 I’m already at week 37 and I can’t believe it. Exercising and moving around is a little bit more difficult now. But I still try to get a little movement in every day. This prenatal deep tone and stretch workout has been my go-to during the last few weeks. It’s gentle yet challenging enough to feel like you’ve done something good to your body.

It’s no secret that my workout routine has tremendously changed since getting pregnant. From jogging 4-5 times a week to crazy HIIT workouts, stretching, and yoga, I now switch between walking, yoga, gentle stretching and deep toning exercises. I feel the most comfortable laying on my side during workouts now. All it takes is a little creativity to tweak your favorite moves. Thus, I found out that ‘fire hydrants’ can be easily done on the side as well.

The same applies to stretching. Any hip opening stretches like butterfly or pigeon pose cause an uncomfortable pull in my lady parts. I simply skip them and do something else that feels more comfortable instead. The key is to listen to your body and its needs. By using my intuition and not getting confused by my mind or what someone else recommends to me, I managed to have a really smooth and healthy pregnancy. When it comes to pregnancy, there truly is no one size fits all.

I know I repeat myself but it’s so crucial that you only do what feels comfortable to you. Even with the workout below. Stop or modify as soon as something feels off. This is not the time to push yourself nor to prove something. It’s all about you and the health of your baby. Because remember: happy you, happy baby!

Alright, get into the comfiest prenatal workout clothes and let’s show our bodies some love:
